Access community wellness resources for mental health support

On June 3, 2025, the City of Wrenford is launching an expanded network of community wellness resources to support mental health and strengthen neighbourhood ties. You can find drop-in sessions, educational workshops, and one-on-one guidance through recreation centres, library branches, and local community hubs across all six wards.

"Mental wellness is not just about individual care—it is about feeling supported by the people around you," says Hannah Kwiatkowski, Community Wellness Coordinator. "We want every resident, from youth to older adults, to have a clear path to the resources that work for them."

The updated wellness network includes:

  • Drop-in wellness circles at the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre and Northgate Aquatic Centre.
  • Monthly mental health and financial literacy workshops at the Wrenford Public Library Main Branch and Northgate Branch.
  • The Silver Rides program now offers companion rides for seniors attending community wellness sessions.
  • Youth fitness and weight training access paired with peer support groups at the Westbrook Community Arena.
  • Community Navigators stationed at recreation facilities and City Hall to help you find the right services.

You can explore neighbourhood-specific wellness maps, join a cleanup to build local bonds, or book a room for a community gathering. All programmes are designed to be accessible, with reduced-fee options and Wrenford Access transit support.

Visit the Access community wellness resources page to find full schedules, registration links, and contact information for each programme. For more on how to get involved in your area, check out Neighbourhoods.
