Access community wellness resources

Find local programs, navigators, and data to support mental health, food security, and neighbourhood connection.

What are community wellness resources?

Community wellness resources help you and your neighbours stay healthy, connected, and supported. These services focus on prevention and early support. They cover mental health, food security, substance use, and social connection. The City works with local health units, emergency management, and community groups to keep our neighbourhoods strong.

How to access support

Start by visiting a Community Navigator. Navigators are located at City Hall and every recreation centre. They can connect you with local programs, social services, and referrals. You do not need an appointment. Just walk in during regular business hours.

For health and wellness information, contact Tamsin Valley Public Health. They run immunization clinics, food safety inspections, and wellness education. Call the main line at 519-555-0100 to find your nearest clinic.

Key wellness areas

  • Mental health and substance use: Support is available through local counselling services and peer-led groups. The Wrenford Police Service Board works with health partners to fund crisis intervention and outreach programs.
  • Food security and nutrition: The City supports food banks, community gardens, and urban agriculture projects. Visit the Wrenford Community Grant Program to learn how neighbourhood groups can apply for funding to start a food-sharing initiative.
  • Safety and inclusion: Community Navigators and the Emergency Management team host workshops on neighbourhood safety, conflict resolution, and inclusion. These programs aim to build trust and reduce isolation.

Upcoming reports and data

The City tracks community health and well-being through annual surveys and local data. The 2026 Neighbourhood Wellness Report will be published in the spring. It shares findings on housing stability, mental health trends, and access to green spaces. You can view past reports and data dashboards on the Access community data and dashboards page.

Funding for community groups

Local organisations can apply for project or operational funding through the Wrenford Community Grant Program. The City prioritizes applications that focus on preventive wellness, social connection, and youth or older adult programming. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until funds are allocated.
