The City of Wrenford is opening the Wildrye Splash Pad at Wildrye Park on July 12, giving families in the Wildrye neighbourhood a new place to cool off this summer. The facility is located at Wildrye Park, 90 Wildrye Drive, Wrenford, ON N4Q 6F2, and will operate daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. until Labour Day, weather permitting.
Residents can enjoy the spray features alongside other summer amenities at the park, including the playground and open green spaces. The splash pad is free to use, and you are asked to supervise children at all times. We encourage you to bring sunscreen, wear non-slip footwear, and stay hydrated in the summer heat. Please note that glass containers and pets are not permitted in the splash pad area.
"This new splash pad fills a gap in the neighbourhood and gives kids a safe, fun place to play right outside their doors," said Helen Marchetti, Councillor for Ward 6. "We hope it becomes a summer staple for Wildrye families."
The splash pad is part of the City's ongoing investment in community recreation infrastructure. Along with the splash pad at Kingfisher Outdoor Pool, it provides a low-cost way for you and your family to enjoy the outdoors during the warmer months. The City's Parks & Trails team conducts regular water quality and equipment checks to keep the area safe and clean.
For a full list of splash pad locations, operating hours, and safety guidelines, you can visit our Find playgrounds and splash pads page. If you have questions about the facility or notice a maintenance issue, you can report it through the City's online portal or contact the Parks & Trails team directly. We wish you a safe and refreshing summer.
