The City of Wrenford is bringing back the Tamsin River Run festival this May along the Tamsin River Trail, with the annual event taking place on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Local runners, community groups, and food vendors will gather at Riverside Flats Park to follow the 64-kilometre Tamsin River Trail System.
This year, the city is launching a streamlined online application process for all food and merchandise vendors. You can now submit your application, upload your insurance documents, and pay your fee through the Economic Development portal. The city wants to make it easier for small business owners and community groups to join the run.
"We are thrilled to bring the Tamsin River Run back," says Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price. "This festival brings our community together and supports local businesses along the trail."
To apply, visit the Economic Development section of the city website and look for the vendor application form. You must have a valid business licence or apply for a temporary vendor permit. All applicants must submit proof of liability insurance and a food safety plan if applicable. You will need to provide a detailed map of your booth layout and confirm your power requirements.
The deadline to apply is June 30, 2024. The city will review all submissions and notify successful applicants by July 15. If you need help with the form or want to check the business guide, you can email the Economic Development team at [email protected] or call 519-555-0100.
The festival will also host a community fair in Centennial Gardens after the run. Local artisans and city departments will have information booths. Volunteers will be needed for registration and water stations. For full details on the run course, past event highlights, and volunteer roles, visit the Economic Development page.
