The City of Wrenford is adjusting its bus timetable to match the changing season. Starting Monday, April 1, 2024, Wrenford Transit will extend evening service on four major routes and introduce a new Saturday trip on Route 5. These changes aim to support spring commutes, weekend activities, and evening shifts across the city.
Transit planners reviewed ridership data and spoke with community groups to identify where the changes would help most. Routes 1, 4, 7, and 12 will now run until 10:30 p.m. on weekdays, an extension of thirty minutes. Route 5 will launch a new Saturday departure at 10:00 a.m., connecting the Kingfisher and Larch Heights neighbourhoods. The 20-series school special routes will keep their current schedules through the spring term.
"We listened to feedback from riders about needing more reliable options for evening shifts and weekend errands. These adjustments give our community more flexibility without increasing costs," says Daniel Osei, Transit Manager.
You do not need to buy a new pass. Your existing monthly or annual fare covers the updated times. You can check the new timetable on the Wrenford Transit app, at the Downtown Transit Terminal, or on the the Transit schedule page. If you ride Wrenford Access, your booking hours stay the same.
