Northgate Aquatic Centre opens May 25 for summer season

The Northgate Aquatic Centre opens its doors for the summer season on Saturday, May 25. Located at 910 Northgate Boulevard, the facility welcomes residents back with its 50-metre pool, dive tank, and waterslide. The centre was closed earlier this spring for a full roof renewal and mechanical upgrade, and the work is now complete.

Starting May 25, the aquatic centre will follow its regular summer schedule. Visitors can expect Monday to Friday hours from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and weekend hours from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The drop-in swimming schedule is posted online and includes lap swimming, family swim sessions, and public diving. We recommend checking the schedule before you arrive to find the best time for your visit.

"The renovation work has made a big difference," says Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. "Guests will notice a more comfortable temperature, improved air quality, and a safer, brighter space for everyone to enjoy."

The outdoor Kingfisher Outdoor Pool also opens for the summer season on May 25. The splash pad at Wildrye Park will be active from late June through Labour Day, weather permitting. All outdoor water amenities operate from late June to Labour Day.

If you plan to visit, please bring a valid Wrenford 311 card or pay at the front desk. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Lockers are available for a small fee, and towels can be purchased at the concession stand. For more information, visit Contact or call 519-555-0121.
