The rebuilt Northgate Aquatic Centre is open for the 2024 summer season starting this Saturday, May 25. Located at 910 Northgate Boulevard, the facility welcomes swimmers of all ages with a brand-new 50-metre lap pool, a dive tank, and a towering waterslide.
The aquatic centre underwent a complete rebuild over the past year to replace aging infrastructure and improve energy efficiency. The new building features a modern filtration system that treats water faster and uses less electricity. Crews also added a larger lobby and upgraded the locker rooms for better accessibility. “We are thrilled to welcome families back to a safer, brighter, and more efficient aquatic centre,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “This rebuild was a long time coming, and we want to make sure it is a place where Wrenford residents can stay active and cool all summer long.”

The centre is open Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you need to reach the front desk, call 519-555-0121.
