The Northgate Aquatic Centre at 910 Northgate Boulevard will close for winter maintenance starting Friday, November 15, 2024. The city's facilities team will use the closure to perform essential repairs, inspect the 50-metre pool and dive tank, and service the waterslide.
The centre is scheduled to reopen on Monday, December 2, 2024, in time for the winter programme season. During the closure, the facility will be drained and thoroughly cleaned. Staff will also check all mechanical and filtration systems to ensure everything operates safely and efficiently. The Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre at 400 Benchlands Drive will remain open as usual.
"We are grateful for the community's patience while we complete these important upgrades," said Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. "The centre will reopen safely and ready for the winter season."
If you have booked a private swim session, a rental, or a programme at the Northgate Aquatic Centre for the closure dates, you will receive a notification by email. You can switch to another location, move your booking to a later date, or request a full refund through the Programs portal. We encourage you to review your bookings and make changes early to avoid missing out on your preferred time slot.
