Today, the City of Wrenford announced new cycling routes that connect directly to transit stops near Ambrel Lake Park. The project, led by the Cycling Upgrades team in partnership with Wrenford Transit, adds protected lanes and upgraded shelters to the Ambrel Lake Road and Corvid Way corridors.
These changes are designed to make it easier for residents to combine biking and transit. You will now find clearly marked bike lanes separated from vehicle traffic, along with new weather-protected shelters at the Route 10 and Route 12 bus stops. The updates also include wider sidewalks and better crosswalks to improve safety for pedestrians walking between the park and the transit terminal.
“Getting people to the park and onto transit safely is a top priority for us,” said Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. “By adding protected cycling routes and upgrading our stops, we are creating a smoother experience for everyone who wants to bike, walk, or ride the bus in this growing part of the city.”
The work is part of a broader effort to expand active transportation infrastructure across Wrenford. The Cycling Upgrades team is also reviewing the existing trail network to ensure it links smoothly with the Tamsin River Trail System. If you have ideas for future routes or want to report an issue with the new lanes, you can reach the team online or by calling 519-555-0100.
