Larch Heights Golf Course closes Oct 7 for winter storage

Starting Monday, October 7, the City of Wrenford will close the 18-hole course and clubhouse at Larch Heights Golf Course for the winter season. This annual shutdown allows our grounds crew to complete essential maintenance, including aerating the greens, repairing irrigation systems, and storing all outdoor equipment and furnishings.

Members with active annual memberships will receive a prorated refund for the remaining weeks of the season. If you have a membership card or an upcoming tee time, please visit the clubhouse front desk before the closure to speak with our staff. We will also process any outstanding membership transfers or cancellations by the end of the week.

"We want to thank our members and casual players for another great season on the fairways," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Closing the course for the winter gives our grounds crew the time they need to keep the turf in top condition and ensures everything is ready for when we open again in the spring."

While the course itself will be closed to play, the surrounding perimeter trail remains open to pedestrians and cyclists. Please be aware that the golf cart paths and some internal trails may be closed to ensure the safety of visitors while maintenance crews are working. Any golf carts or equipment left on the course after October 7 will be moved to the storage shed at the Civic Operations Centre.
