Kingfisher Outdoor Pool officially opens for the season on Saturday, June 22, bringing daily swim lessons and leisure swims to the Kingfisher neighbourhood at 15 Kingfisher Court. Its splash pad will welcome you two weeks earlier on Saturday, June 8.

Swim lessons are the main draw this year. The pool offers age-appropriate classes for preschoolers, children, teens, and adults. Registration is open now through Wrenford Recreation Online. Spaces fill quickly, so you should sign up early. Drop-in leisure swims will also run daily from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. once the pool opens, giving you a chance to cool off after school or work.
"The outdoor pool is a beloved community gathering spot, and we are excited to bring back our full range of swim lessons and family swim times," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "It is a great way for kids to learn a life skill and for everyone to enjoy our warm summer evenings."
You should review the daily schedule before heading out. Hours and program details are posted on the City's recreation portal. You can also book a family swim slot or reserve a lane for exercise swimming through the same online system. Please note that all children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the water or on deck.
