The City of Wrenford is pleased to confirm that the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court will open for the season on July 1. The facility is currently undergoing final maintenance and water testing to ensure a safe and fun environment for all residents.
When the gates open, visitors can enjoy the main swimming pool, a shallow play area for young children, and the popular splash pad. The splash pad operates daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., weather permitting. The pool deck opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 7:00 p.m. Families are welcome to bring their own blankets to relax on the deck chairs, and there is a designated outdoor eating area for snacks and drinks.
“We know how much our community looks forward to a refreshing dip in the summer sun,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “Kingfisher is a wonderful spot for families to cool off, learn to swim, or simply enjoy a quiet afternoon outdoors.”
Swimming lessons are available for every age and ability, from parent-and-tot classes for infants to teen and adult programs. The City also offers drop-in leisure swims and adapted swim times throughout the week. Residents can view the full weekly schedule and register for classes through the City’s online portal.
Please remember to bring your own towels and water bottles when you visit. The City does not provide lockers, but washrooms and seating are available near the main entrance. For the latest updates on operating hours, program changes, or weather-related closures, please check the Facility information and hours page before you head out.
