Eastfield Twin Arenas ice resurfacing updated for February

Ice resurfacing times at Eastfield Twin Arenas have been adjusted for the month of February to help keep the ice in top shape for all skaters and league teams.

The City's Recreation & Culture team has noticed a busy winter season with more community leagues and public skating sessions using the two ice pads at 620 Eastfield Road. To make sure every skater gets a smooth surface, staff will be running the resurfacing machines on a slightly different schedule starting today, February 1, through the end of the month.

Here is what you need to know about the updated schedule:

  • Resurfacing will happen at the end of every scheduled session.
  • Public skating and learn-to-skate sessions will continue as planned. Please arrive a few minutes early on your session day so staff can finish resurfacing and set up the ice safely.
  • If you have a private ice rental booked, your time will not be interrupted by resurfacing.

"We want to make sure the ice quality stays high for everyone who visits Eastfield Twin Arenas this winter," said Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. "Adjusting our timing helps us keep up with the extra demand while keeping the ice safe for public skating, hockey, and figure skating."

The updated times are posted on the City's online booking portal. You can check the latest schedule and book your own ice time at Eastfield Twin Arenas by visiting the Book an arena or ice time page. If you need to change an existing booking, you can do so online or call the arena directly at 519-555-0123.

Thank you for your patience as we work to keep the ice smooth and safe for all Wrenford residents.
