Eastfield Twin Arenas ice resurfacing schedule released for winter

The City of Wrenford has released the ice resurfacing schedule for the Eastfield Twin Arenas for the 2023–2024 winter season. Located in the Eastfield neighbourhood at 620 Eastfield Road, the two ice pads will follow a set schedule to keep the ice in top condition for public skating, hockey, and ringette.

The resurfacing machine will run during off-peak hours to minimize disruptions. You can expect the ice to be groomed between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on Saturday mornings before the first public session. The City's Parks and Trails team works closely with Recreation staff to ensure the ice meets safety standards for all users.

“We know that smooth ice makes a big difference for skaters of all ages,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “This schedule gives our community rinks a reliable routine, so you can plan your visits knowing the ice will be fresh and safe.”

Public skating sessions run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. during the week, with extended hours on weekends. If your regular game or program falls during a resurfacing window, check the transit schedule for any minor delays near the Eastfield area. You can also report any ice concerns directly to the arena front desk.
