East Wrenford waste facility route detours due to construction work

Starting Monday, July 15, 2024, road construction on Concession 4 Road near the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility will require Wrenford Transit buses on Routes 10 and 14 to use a temporary detour. The work is part of a city-wide utility upgrade project and is expected to last until the end of September.

During the detour, buses will travel via Eastfield Road and Northgate Boulevard instead of Concession 4 Road between the industrial park and the waste facility. A few bus stops along the affected stretch will be temporarily relocated to nearby intersections. You may notice a travel time increase of five to ten minutes on these routes while the detour is in place.

"We appreciate residents' patience as we navigate this necessary road work," said Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. "Our crews are working closely with the construction team to minimize delays and keep service running smoothly for everyone. We encourage riders to plan ahead and check for updates before they travel."

To stay informed, check the Transit disruptions and service alerts page or open the Wrenford Transit app for real-time bus tracking. You can also view updated route maps and adjusted schedules on the Bus schedules and timetables page.

If you have questions about the detour or need help planning your trip, call 311 inside the city or 519-555-0100 from outside. We will post updates here and on our social media channels as the construction progresses.
