The City of Wrenford is now accepting booking applications for sports fields and arena floors for the spring season. Residents, local leagues, and community groups can start submitting their requests online today, April 5, 2024.
Field bookings cover the grass and artificial turf areas at Riverside Flats Park, Benchlands Lookout Park, Ambrel Lake Park, and the Eastfield Twin Arenas dry pad. Arena floor bookings apply to the gymnasium spaces at the Westbrook Community Arena, Eastfield Twin Arenas, and the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre fieldhouse. The spring booking window for fields runs from May through October, while indoor arena floor usage is available from May through September.
The deadline to submit your application is Friday, April 26, 2024. To apply, go to the the Facilities section and select the booking form for your chosen venue. You will need to provide your group details, preferred dates and times, and a certificate of liability insurance. Make sure you review the rental rates and the insurance requirements before you begin.
"We want to make sure every league and community group has a fair shot at getting their preferred time slots," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Please read through the rental rates and insurance requirements carefully before you submit your application."
Groups that book early usually get their first choice of days and times. If your application is incomplete or missing insurance paperwork, it will not be processed. You can track the status of your request in the online portal once it is submitted.
