City hall closed November 15 for system maintenance

WRENFORD, ON — November 8, 2024 — Wrenford City Hall at 100 Mercer Street will be closed to the public on Friday, November 15, 2024, for essential network and server upgrades. Staff will continue to work remotely or from alternate locations, but the public cannot enter the building that day.

The closure is necessary to replace aging infrastructure that supports our online service portals, property tax systems, and internal communications. The upgrade will take place overnight and throughout the day. All services normally available at the Service Wrenford counter, the Clerk's Office, and Revenue Services will be temporarily unavailable.

Residents who need to pay property taxes, utility bills, or parking tickets should use the online Manage your utility account portal, mail a cheque to City Hall, or drop off payment in the Revenue Services drop box at Wrenford City Hall before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 14. For by-law fines or accounts receivable, please pay online or by mail. If you need a permit or a record check, please contact the relevant department by phone or email. You can reach us through Contact.

“We are making this investment now to prevent future disruptions and to give residents faster, more reliable online services,” says City Manager Robert Eng. “We appreciate your patience while we complete this important work.”

We expect to resume normal operations on Monday, November 18, 2024. For the latest updates on the closure or other service changes, please check our Service Alerts page.
