Canada Day in the Park celebrates with live music

Get ready to celebrate Canada Day with live music, local food and family fun at Canada Day in the Park. The City of Wrenford invites residents and visitors to Centennial Gardens on July 1, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a day of free entertainment and community spirit.

The main stage will feature performances by local musicians and the Wrenford Youth Orchestra throughout the afternoon. Families can enjoy interactive activities at the Youth Zone, relax in the shaded areas designed for our senior neighbours, and explore inclusive programming that welcomes everyone. Food trucks from downtown vendors will be on site, and a kids' craft station will be running all day.

Due to the event, Mercer Street between Water Street and Church Street will be closed to vehicles from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on July 1. The Downtown Transit Terminal will operate on a modified schedule. Please plan your trip early or use the Wrenford Access shuttle service for easy drop-off near the park entrance.

Mayor Danielle Okafor-Price says, 'Canada Day in the Park is one of our favourite community traditions. We want every resident to feel welcome, whether you are celebrating for the first time or have been coming to Centennial Gardens for decades.'

For the full list of programming, registration dates for summer camps, and information on adapted activities, visit the Programs section. If you have questions about parking or event permits, contact the City at 519-555-0100. We look forward to seeing you under the Canadian flag.
