The Northgate Aquatic Centre at 910 Northgate Boulevard will close for annual winter maintenance from Monday, November 20 to Sunday, December 22, 2023. Regular operations will resume on Monday, December 23.
This yearly shutdown gives our maintenance and technical teams the time they need to inspect and service all pools, diving boards, filtration systems, and mechanical equipment. Keeping these facilities in top shape is essential for your safety and comfort throughout the winter months.
During the closure, you can still enjoy swimming at the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre. We have added extra lane swimming times there to help meet your needs. You can view the updated schedule on our Public skating sessions and schedules page, which also covers drop-in swim times.
Fitness lovers should note that the fitness studios at Northgate will remain open. Drop-in fitness and public swims at other locations are running as usual. Check the Drop-in fitness and public swims page for current class times.
If you hold a recreation membership or value pass, your access continues at all open facilities. If you need to pause your pass temporarily or have questions about your account, please visit any recreation facility front desk or call 519-555-0121.
"Annual maintenance is a vital part of keeping our aquatic facilities safe and reliable for the entire season," says Fiona Gallagher, GM Community Services. "We are grateful for your patience as we complete these necessary checks and upgrades."
