Wrenford Transit will adjust its schedule for the upcoming Christmas and Boxing Day holidays. Riders should plan ahead for modified service on December 24 and 26, and no service on December 25.
On Christmas Eve, December 24, all fixed routes and Wrenford Access will operate on a regular Saturday timetable. There will be no transit service on Christmas Day, December 25, in keeping with the statutory holiday schedule. Service returns to a regular Saturday timetable on Boxing Day, December 26, and all routes resume their normal weekday service on Wednesday, December 27.
Wrenford Transit routes 1 through 14 will follow these adjusted schedules. The 20-series school specials will also follow the Saturday timetable on December 24 and 26. We encourage riders to check the Wrenford Transit app or call 311 before you travel to confirm times and any unexpected changes.
Please allow extra travel time during the holidays, as buses may be slightly delayed due to seasonal traffic. Remember that Wrenford Access vehicles will also follow the Saturday schedule on December 24 and 26. Book your trips through the Wrenford Transit app or by calling 311 at least 24 hours in advance. Keep in mind that road conditions can change quickly in December, so we recommend checking the Transit disruptions and service alerts page for real-time updates before you head out.
“We want everyone to have a safe and relaxing holiday season, and we’ve adjusted the timetable so crews can spend time with their families while keeping essential trips running,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services.
