What you can do

If you are a contractor, tradesperson or local business working temporarily in a Wrenford Residential Parking Zone, you can apply for a Contractor Reserved Parking Permit. This permit lets you reserve approved on-street parking spaces near your active work site for the specific dates you need. It is designed to keep your team and equipment close to the job while minimising disruption to neighbours.

Keep in mind that the permit does not guarantee the space will be available at all times. It is your responsibility to keep the area clear and ensure your vehicle(s) are parked legally within the reserved zones. The permit is not intended for use in paid parking zones or areas marked with Park Plus signs.

How to apply

You can submit your application by phone or email. We recommend applying at least five business days in advance to avoid delays. Please have the following information ready:

  • Company or business name
  • Primary contact name and phone number
  • Email address for your Wrenford 311 account
  • Exact street address where you need parking
  • Dates the permit is needed
  • Vehicle make and licence plate number(s)

Once your application is reviewed and approved, a Parking Administration officer will add your licence plate(s) to the HotSpot parking management system. You can update your plate information at any time through your online account. Permits are issued electronically, and you will receive a confirmation email with your permit details and a link to view your active reservations.

Fees and rules

The fee is $22.00 per day, per parking space. Fees are non-refundable and will not be prorated if your project finishes early. Larger vehicles or multiple spaces are charged separately for each space used.

Under the Traffic and Parking By-law 2014-075, you must not block driveways, hydrants or crosswalks. If a space is blocked by another vehicle, the City will not move it. You are responsible for ensuring your work zone remains safe and accessible for residents and transit. Enforcement officers may issue fines for violations, and repeat offences can result in the suspension of your permit privileges.
