Get ready for the cold season with our Winter Coat Drive and Warmth Workshop. Whether you are a senior looking to stay comfortable or a community volunteer wanting to help, this free event has something for you. We will be collecting gently used winter coats and warm accessories at the Old Mill Urban Garden. Bring what you can donate to keep our neighbours warm.
While you are here, you will learn practical tips for keeping your home warm and safe during the winter months. Our energy conservation experts will show you how to seal drafts, use space heaters safely, and lower your heating bills without sacrificing comfort. You will also get a free thermal curtain kit to take home.
Registration is required so we can plan for enough seating and materials. You can sign up online through Service Wrenford or call 519-555-0100. The venue is fully accessible with a ramp entrance and washrooms on site. We will also have hot tea and coffee available.
Please arrive on time. Doors open at 10:00 a.m., and the workshop runs until noon. If you have questions, email [email protected] or visit our Seniors page for more programs. We look forward to seeing you there!
