Join us on February 18, 2027, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Tamarack Park for a hands-on workshop on identifying birds during the winter months.
This session is designed for adults and teens who want to improve their birding skills. A local expert will guide you through the park's trails. You will practice calling identification and learn about the habitats that support wintering birds. We will discuss how to set up feeders and bird baths that help birds survive the winter. You will also receive a printed field guide and a list of local birding hotspots.
You will learn to identify birds by their distinctive colour patterns and calls. The workshop covers how different neighbourhoods support winter birds and what signs to look for in the snow.
Price: $5.00 per person.
