We are holding a Municipal Budget Open House at the Market Square Picnic Shelter to talk about how we plan to spend your tax dollars next year. This event is for residents and stakeholders who want to understand where their money goes and have a say in what comes next.

You will see drafts of the proposed budget, learn about the priorities for City Services, Public Safety, and Recreation & Culture, and get a chance to ask questions directly to staff. We will also explain how the budget is built, how property tax and user fees are set, and what options are open for public input before Council makes a final decision.

The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on September 16, 2026. No registration is needed. Just walk in, grab a program, and join the conversation. We will have refreshments on hand and accessibility features available on request. If you need an interpreter, assistive listening device, or wheelchair-accessible seating, tell us when you arrive or call the main line at 519-555-0100.

We want to hear from you. Your feedback helps us balance service levels, infrastructure needs, and community programs. After the event, all submitted comments will be compiled and sent to Council before they vote on the final budget.
