Join us for a guided morning walk along the trails near Ambrel Lake on Saturday, September 26. This free event is designed for seniors and nature enthusiasts who want to enjoy the fall scenery and learn about the area's local ecology. Our Parks Planner, Maya Chen-Watson, will lead the group and point out the changing leaves, migratory birds, and the plants that thrive around the lake.

The walk covers about two kilometres on mostly flat, gravel paths. If you use a walker or wheelchair, accessible routes are available through the garden boardwalk. The event starts promptly at 10:00 a.m. at the Ambrel Lake Community Garden pavilion. We will wrap up by 11:30 a.m., so you can plan the rest of your day.

Because this is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather. Bring a bottle of water, wear sturdy shoes, and consider bringing a walking stick if you prefer extra support. Rain or shine, the walk goes ahead. If severe weather is forecast, we will cancel or move the event online, and you will receive an email update.

Registration is required so we know how many people to expect. You can sign up online or call the Parks and Trails office at 519-555-0100. If you have mobility needs or require assistance during the walk, please mention it when you register. We are happy to make accommodations.
