Riding Wrenford Transit

Seniors aged 65 and over pay a reduced fare of $2.50 per trip on all fixed-route buses. You can pay with exact change, a contactless credit card, or a monthly or annual transit pass. You must show your Wrenford Senior Fare Pass or a valid government-issued photo ID when boarding.

Door-to-door service with Wrenford Access

If you cannot use the regular buses because of a mobility or health issue, Wrenford Access provides shared ride service to your door. The service follows the same rules for all riders:

  • Book your trip at least two hours in advance by calling 519-555-0114 or visiting the Downtown Transit Terminal.
  • Arrive at your pickup point within a thirty-minute window.
  • Drivers will wait three minutes before leaving a stop.
  • You may bring one personal care attendant at no extra cost.
  • If you miss a ride or cancel late three times, your service may be paused temporarily.

You can find more details on the Accessible transit services page.

Free Silver Rides shuttle

The Silver Rides program offers free, door-to-door trips for seniors 65 and older to reach medical appointments, pharmacies, and grocery stores. This service runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Because space is limited, you must book your ride by noon the day before you need it. Call the Downtown Transit Terminal at 519-555-0114 or email [email protected] to reserve a spot.

Getting your reduced fare pass

To ride at the reduced fare, you need a Wrenford Senior Fare Pass. You can get one by visiting the customer service counter at the Downtown Transit Terminal, 1 Market Square, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A2. Bring a photo ID and proof of your age.

Annual passes must be renewed by March 31 each year. If you miss the deadline, you can still renew by visiting the terminal, but your reduced fare will not start until the day you apply. You can also pick up a renewal form from the Seniors page or request it by mail.

Travel planning help

If you need help figuring out which bus to take or how to transfer, staff at the Downtown Transit Terminal can plan your trip for you. You can also call Wrenford 311 by dialling 311 inside the city limits, or reach the terminal directly at 519-555-0114.
