Making your vote accessible
Wrenford is committed to making the October 26, 2026 municipal election accessible for every resident. Whether you use a wheelchair, need help reading a ballot, or require a language interpreter, we have services in place to help you cast your vote.
Accessible polling places
All voting locations are barrier-free and designed for easy access. You will find:
- Step-free entrances and wide voting booths
- Priority access lines for those who have difficulty standing or waiting in line
- Assistive ballot marking devices with audio, large print, and sip-and-puff controls
- Reading magnifiers at every voting table
Curbside voting is available at most locations. If you cannot enter a building due to a disability or health concern, an election worker will bring a voting kit to your vehicle. Look for the blue "Curbside Voting" sign at the entrance.
Voting with assistance
If you need help marking your ballot, you may bring a person you trust to assist you. Alternatively, you can ask an election worker for help. Before assisting you, the election worker will ask you to complete a solemn declaration. You do not need to explain your reason for needing assistance.
Special voting for care facilities
From October 14 to October 22, mobile voting teams will visit hospitals, long-term care homes, supportive housing, and shelters across Wrenford. These teams will help eligible residents, patients, and regular clients cast their ballots at the facility. If you know someone who lives in a care facility and cannot easily travel, please contact the Election Services Desk to request a visit.
Voting by mail
Residents who cannot travel to a voting place because of a physical disability, illness, or injury may vote by mail. You can request a mail ballot online or by calling the Election Services Desk. Completed ballots can be dropped off at any Wrenford Transit Terminal or mailed back in the prepaid envelope.
Language and format support
Voter information pamphlets are available in large print and braille. We also offer translated materials in French, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish, and Tagalog. Printed copies can be picked up at any Wrenford Public Library branch or mailed to you on request. If you need an interpreter at a polling place, please call us at least three business days before election day.
