Copper Ridge street resurfacing
The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce the upcoming asphalt resurfacing project for the Copper Ridge neighbourhood. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining safe and smooth roadways for all residents. The work is scheduled to begin in early June 2021 and is expected to conclude by mid-September 2021, weather permitting.
Project Schedule
The resurfacing will take place on the following streets in phases:
- Phase 1 (June 14–18, 2021): Copper Ridge Drive and adjacent cul-de-sacs.
- Phase 2 (June 21–25, 2021): Ridge View Lane and Stonebridge Crescent.
- Phase 3 (July 5–9, 2021): Copper Ridge Court and Maple Ridge Way.
- Phase 4 (July 12–16, 2021): Birch Ridge Trail and Oak Ridge Avenue.
Work typically proceeds from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend work is not planned unless necessary to meet project deadlines.
Impact on Residents
During the resurfacing period, you will experience temporary lane closures and street closures. Please follow all posted signs and instructions from traffic control personnel. Access to your property will be maintained at all times, but please allow extra time for travel.
Parking Restrictions: To ensure the safety of workers and the quality of the new asphalt, you must move all vehicles from the affected streets by 7:00 a.m. on the first day of work for each phase. No parking will be allowed on the work side of the street from 7:00 a.m. until the asphalt has cooled and cured, usually by 4:00 p.m. each day. Vehicles left in the work zone after the deadline will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Driveway Access
You may need to cross the freshly paved surface to access your driveway. Please avoid turning your vehicle on the new asphalt, as this can damage the finish. If you have difficulty accessing your property, please contact the Roads & Winter Maintenance department.
