Reports and Decisions
Minor Variance Application for 45 Mercer Street (Ward 1)
The applicant sought to reduce the rear yard setback by 0.5 metres to accommodate a deck extension. The Committee found the variance to be minor, consistent with the intent of the Zoning bylaws and land use, and would not cause undue neighbourhood impact. Carried.
Minor Variance Application for 12 Tamsin Street (Ward 1)
The applicant requested permission to build a detached garage slightly into the front yard. Staff confirmed the structure met height limits and would not block sightlines. Carried.
Minor Variance Application for 88 Mill Street (Ward 1)
The applicant wanted to increase the floor space ratio for a heritage renovation. The Committee noted the building's location in a designated heritage area and the need to preserve façade integrity. Carried.
Minor Variance Application for 15 Ambrel Lake Road (Ward 4)
The applicant proposed a minor reduction in the side yard width for a garden suite. The Committee reviewed the plan against the Zoning bylaws and land use and confirmed it met the density bonus provisions for secondary suites. Carried.
Consent Application for 22 Albert Street (Ward 1)
The applicant sought to sever a portion of the lot for a laneway house. The Committee found the severance met the requirements for urban infill and would not strain municipal services. Carried.
Minor Variance Application for 301 Church Street (Ward 1)
The applicant requested to increase the height of a commercial sign by 0.3 metres. The Committee found the application incomplete due to missing structural engineering reports. Referred to staff for further information.
