Reach your councillor
Each councillor represents one of Wrenford's six wards. They bring your concerns to City Council and help you navigate City services. Here is how to get in touch and what they can do for you.
How to contact your councillor
- Email: Send a message directly to your councillor's office.
- Phone: Call the main line at 519-555-0100 and ask to be connected.
- In person: Visit the Service Wrenford counter at City Hall, 100 Mercer Street. Walk-in hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Mail: Write to your councillor at City Hall, 100 Mercer Street, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A1.
What your councillor can help with
Councillors are a great first step for many City matters. They can:
- Help you find the right department for a service request.
- Explain how a by-law applies to your property or business.
- Assist with appeals or variances from the Committee of Adjustment.
- Provide information on upcoming projects in your neighbourhood.
For immediate City service requests like potholes, missed garbage collection, or streetlight outages, call 311 or visit the [[Contact | Service Wrenford counter]]. Your councillor will still refer you there for tracking.
What your councillor cannot do
City Council makes decisions together. A single councillor cannot:
- Override the City Manager or the Wrenford Police Service.
- Change a by-law or City policy on their own.
- Force a department to take action outside of established procedures.
- Provide legal advice or represent you in Provincial Offences Court.
Preparing to visit or speak at a meeting
If you want to discuss a complex issue, book an appointment through the City Hall service desk. Bring any relevant documents, photos, or property plans. Appointments are usually 15 to 30 minutes.
You can also speak at a regular Council meeting. Meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. To speak, sign up at the desk or online before the meeting starts. You will have up to three minutes to share your thoughts. The City also livestreams these meetings so you can watch from home.
