Annual and detailed reports on Wrenford's waste collection, diversion rates, and landfill operations for residents and businesses.

Annual waste reports

The City publishes yearly reports on how we manage garbage, recycling, and organics. These documents show how much waste we send to the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility, how much we divert through the Blue Box and Green Bin programs, and where we spend your tax dollars. You can download the full PDFs below to review our progress and hold us accountable.

What the reports cover

Each report breaks down the numbers so you can see how the City is performing. You will find detailed tables on annual and monthly tonnage for garbage, road materials, cover soil, and yard waste. We also compare these figures to past years to track whether our diversion targets are being met.

Alongside the collection numbers, the reports outline updates to landfill design and operations plans. You can read about planned improvements to the waste facility, environmental protection programs, and closure cost estimates. The documents also highlight waste reduction initiatives, including our participation in the provincial Blue Box program and neighbourhood education campaigns.

How these reports fit into the budget

Waste management is a major part of the City's operating budget. The data in these reports helps Council decide how to allocate funds for garbage trucks, recycling sortation, and seasonal events like Toxic E-waste Roundup. When you review the Budget and Budget engagement pages, you will see how these reports directly inform next year's spending plans.

Need more information?

The City values transparency. All reports are posted in plain language so residents can understand how their taxes are used. If you need a copy in an alternate format, or if you wish to make a formal freedom of information request about waste collection data, see Freedom of Information.
