Industrial park east signage bylaw
The City of Wrenford has implemented temporary signage regulations for the Industrial Park East area. These rules are in effect to ensure clear visibility and safety while the zone undergoes development. You must comply with these standards if you operate a business in this area.
Application deadline
All applications for new or modified signage must be submitted by December 31, 2021. Late submissions will not be processed for the current fiscal year. You can submit your application through the online portal or by mail.
Approved sign types
Only the following sign types are permitted under the temporary bylaw:
- Monument signs (maximum height: 1.2 metres)
- Wall-mounted signs (maximum area: 3 square metres)
- Projecting signs (maximum depth: 1 metre)
Freestanding pole signs are not permitted in Industrial Park East at this time. This restriction is temporary and may be reviewed in future years.
Fee structure
The application fee for a new sign permit is $150.00. The fee for a sign modification or renewal is $75.00. Payment must be made in full before a permit is issued. Acceptable payment methods include credit card, debit, or certified cheque payable to the City of Wrenford.
Design requirements
All signs must be well-maintained and free of obstructions. Illuminated signs are permitted but must not cause glare that interferes with traffic safety. Sign colours must be consistent with the building’s exterior palette. You must submit a detailed plan showing dimensions, materials, and proposed location with your application.
Next steps
Once your application is approved, you will receive a permit valid until December 31, 2022. You must display the permit on-site at all times. Inspections may occur to verify compliance. If you need help with your application, contact the business licensing office at 519-555-0100 or email [email protected].
