Water conservation rebate program

Details on the City of Wrenford's rebate program for purchasing water-saving appliances and fixtures to help residents reduce consumption and costs.

Save water and money with rebates

If you are a resident of Wrenford, you can get money back on your water bill for buying efficient appliances and fixtures. This program helps you use less water while lowering your monthly costs. It applies to single-family homes, duplexes, and multi-unit residential buildings within the City.

What is covered

You can claim a rebate for eligible high-efficiency products installed in your home. Common items include:

  • High-efficiency toilets (HE toilets)
  • Low-flow showerheads
  • Water-efficient washing machines
  • High-efficiency clothes washers

To qualify, the product must meet specific efficiency standards set by the City. Keep your original sales receipt and the product specification sheet. You will need these documents to prove the item is eligible.

How to apply

Follow these steps to get your rebate:

  1. Install the eligible product in your Wrenford home.
  2. Complete the rebate application form available on this page or at City Hall.
  3. Attach copies of your proof of purchase and the product specification sheet.
  4. Submit your application by mail or in person to the Water Billing department.

Do not submit original receipts. We only accept copies. Applications are processed within 30 business days. If approved, the rebate amount will be credited to your water account or sent as a cheque.

Important details

Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last. There is a limit of one rebate per household for each type of product. For example, you can only get one rebate for a high-efficiency toilet, even if you replace three.

If you have questions about your eligibility or the application process, contact the Water Billing team. You can call 519-555-0100 or email [email protected]. The service line is also available at Wrenford 311.
