Kingfisher trail maintenance report
You can now view the summary of the trail clearing and signage updates for the Kingfisher neighbourhood in 2023. The Parks & Trails division completed the scheduled maintenance work to ensure safe access for residents and visitors.
Trail clearing operations
Crews cleared debris, fallen branches, and overgrown vegetation from the primary and secondary trails in Kingfisher between May 15, 2023, and June 30, 2023. This work included trimming back shrubs that obstructed sightlines at intersections and removing hazards that could impede walking or cycling. All green waste was processed and recycled through the City’s composting facility.
Signage updates
The City replaced faded and damaged signs along the Kingfisher trail network. New signage includes updated trail maps, directional markers, and regulatory notices. These signs were installed on June 20, 2023, to provide clear guidance for users. The signs comply with the City’s park naming conventions and are visible from the main access points.
Next steps
If you notice any new hazards or damaged signage, please report them to the City. You can contact the service line at Wrenford 311 or call 519-555-0111. Reports help the City prioritize future maintenance and keep the trails safe for everyone.
