Book a skating rink session
Looking to host a private gathering, community celebration, or special event on one of our outdoor rinks? The City of Wrenford offers the opportunity to reserve designated outdoor public skating rinks for exclusive use. This service is available in the Parks & Trails section and is subject to availability, weather conditions, and municipal by-laws.
Who can book
Reservations are open to residents, community organizations, and private individuals. Whether you are planning a birthday party, a corporate holiday event, or a neighborhood get-together, you can secure a time slot for your chosen rink. Please note that commercial events may require additional insurance documentation.
What you need to provide
To complete your reservation, you must submit a formal request through the official booking page. You will need to provide the following information:
- Event details: The type of event, expected number of attendees, and whether food or beverages will be served.
- Date and time: Your preferred date and the duration of the rental. Please allow for setup and cleanup time before and after your session.
- Contact information: A valid email address and a phone number where you can be reached, such as 519-555-0100, for confirmation or follow-up.
- Insurance proof: If your event involves vendors, amplified music, or a large group, you may be required to provide a certificate of liability insurance naming the City of Wrenford as an additional insured.
Important rules and by-laws
All users must adhere to the City’s Outdoor Rink Use By-law. This includes keeping the ice surface free of debris, not using sharp objects that could damage the ice, and ensuring that all waste is removed after your event. Alcohol consumption is prohibited unless specifically authorized in writing by the Parks & Trails Office. Any damages caused by the renter or their guests will be charged to the account holder.
How to proceed
Navigate to the Parks & Trails section of the City website and select the option to book a skating rink session. Fill out the required fields in the booking form carefully. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Once submitted, your request will be reviewed by the Parks & Trails Office. You will receive a confirmation email at the address provided if the slot is available. If the date is taken, you will be notified and asked to select an alternative.
