Ambrel Lake Beach Opening

The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce the opening of the Ambrel Lake beach for the 2018 summer season. Located in the Ambrel Lake neighbourhood, this popular swimming area offers safe, supervised recreation for residents and visitors alike. We encourage you to enjoy the water responsibly while following all posted regulations.

Lifeguard Services and Hours

Professional lifeguards will be on duty daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The beach will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. until closing time. Please note that lifeguards are only present during the posted hours. Swimming outside of these times is at your own risk and is not recommended.

The season begins on Friday, May 25, 2018, and continues through Sunday, September 2, 2018. Lifeguard services will not be provided on weekdays prior to May 25 or after September 2. We recommend checking the Parks & Trails section of our website for any last-minute changes due to weather or maintenance.

To ensure a safe environment for everyone, all visitors must adhere to the park bylaws and rules. Key regulations include:

  • No glass containers are permitted in the beach area.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash at all times, except in designated off-leash areas. See our list of off-leash dog areas for more information.
  • Alcohol consumption is prohibited on the beach and in the surrounding parklands.
  • Swimmers must stay within the marked swimming zones.

For your safety, please supervise children at all times. The City is not responsible for any injuries or lost property. If you witness unsafe behaviour or have a concern, please contact the City directly at 519-555-0100 or dial Wrenford 311.
