2021 Community Centre Expansion
You may have noticed the significant changes happening at the Ambrel Lake Community Centre this year. The City is pleased to confirm that the expansion project is now complete. This addition was designed to better serve the residents of the Benchlands and surrounding neighbourhoods by providing more space for recreation, fitness, and community gatherings.
The original facility has been enhanced with a new wing that includes expanded locker rooms, a larger multi-purpose room for programs, and additional office space for City staff. The construction work was carried out with minimal disruption to your daily use of the centre. We thank you for your patience during the building phase.
With the expansion finished, you now have access to improved facilities for your leisure activities. Whether you are looking to book a gymnasium or fieldhouse for a local tournament or need space for a community meeting, the new areas are ready for your use. The enhanced layout allows for more flexible scheduling and better flow for visitors.
Please note that the new multi-purpose room is available for rental. If you are planning an event, you can review the facility rental rates and submit your facility rental application through the City portal. Remember to check the facility information and hours to ensure the space is available when you need it.
For those interested in fitness, the expanded gymnasium features updated equipment. If you require assistance with costs, you may be eligible for fee assistance for leisure centres. Families should also review the indoor pool guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all ages.
The City values your feedback on the new facilities. If you have questions about the expansion or need to report an issue, please contact the Facilities Department. You can reach us by phone at 519-555-0100 or by email at [email protected]. For non-emergency service requests, you can also dial Wrenford 311.
We look forward to seeing you at the Ambrel Lake Community Centre. Enjoy the new spaces and the many programs that will now fit comfortably within our expanded walls.
