What to report
You can use this page to report maintenance or compliance issues in any public or private parking lot in Wrenford. Common issues include:
- Potholes or cracked pavement
- Broken or flickering light fixtures
- Standing water or blocked drainage grates
- Overgrown grass, weeds, or trash that has not been collected
- Broken bollards, barriers, or gate mechanisms
How to report the issue
Follow these steps to submit your report. The faster you share details, the quicker we can send the right team.
- Visit the Service Wrenford portal and select Report a by-law infraction or Report a road or sidewalk issue.
- Enter the exact address or intersection of the parking lot.
- Describe the problem and attach photos if you can take them safely.
- Submit the form. You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number.
If you prefer to call, dial 311 from a Wrenford phone or 519-555-0100 from outside the city. An operator will log your report and answer questions about the next steps.
City-owned lots versus private lots
City lots. If the lot is owned by the City, your report goes straight to the Roads and Winter Maintenance team or the By-law Enforcement unit, depending on the problem. We will schedule a repair or send an officer to review the site.
Private lots. If the lot is privately owned, the property owner is responsible for keeping it safe and clean. Under the Property Standards By-law 2019-112, private owners must maintain their lots to prevent hazards and unsightly conditions. If a private lot is out of compliance, By-law Enforcement will contact the owner to request repairs. You do not need to contact the owner yourself; we handle the communication.
Response times and fees
There is no fee to report a parking lot issue. We handle urgent reports first:
- Urgent hazards: Large potholes that could damage vehicles, broken lights in dark areas, or active flooding are treated as urgent. We aim to address these within 24 hours.
- Standard requests: Minor cracks, overgrown grass, or slow-draining areas are scheduled for routine maintenance. You can expect an update within 10 business days.
