Where to take construction and demolition waste

You can take construction and demolition waste to the East Wrenford Waste Management Facility. We do not accept these materials at curbside collection. The facility is open year-round, but hours change during statutory holidays.

Address: 3500 Concession 4 Road, Wrenford, ON N4Q 7A1

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Phone: 519-555-0128

Fees and load limits

The fee for construction and demolition waste is $42.00 per tonne. The minimum charge is $18.00 for loads under 500 kg. You must weigh your load before and after disposal, or the facility operator will estimate the weight based on your vehicle. Please arrive during posted operating hours to ensure the weigh station is staffed.

Loads must not exceed 20 cubic metres. If your load is larger than 20 cubic metres, you must use a tandem or tridem trailer. All loads must be securely covered or tarped before leaving the property.

  • Concrete, brick, and asphalt
  • Metals and scrap steel
  • Drywall and plasterboard

  • Hazardous waste or chemicals
  • Household garbage or general waste

Rules for contractors and developers

If you are a contractor or developer, you must follow the Construction season schedule and all Engineering Standards for waste management on site. You must also ensure that all waste is handled safely by trained operators.

Projects generating over 20 tonnes of waste must submit a Contractor Diversion Plan before the start of work. The plan must show how you will recycle or reuse materials like drywall, concrete, and metal. We require a minimum 75% diversion rate for eligible construction projects. Failure to meet the diversion target may result in additional disposal fees or penalties under the Construction season schedule.

All haulers must be licensed by the City. You can find a list of licensed waste haulers by contacting the waste management office or checking the Business Licences page.
