The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the Wildrye Splash Pad will officially open for the summer season on May 30. Located inside Wildrye Park at 90 Wildrye Drive, the new ground-level spray pad offers you and your family a free, low-impact cooling spot in the Wildrye neighbourhood.
The facility will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through Labour Day, weather permitting. You can count on Parks and Recreation staff having finished all required pressure tests and water quality checks to ensure the system runs smoothly. The spray pad features a flat, non-slip surface ideal for toddlers and young children, with a shaded picnic area and washrooms just steps away from where you stand.
"We are excited to welcome you to Wildrye Park and provide a safe, free space for kids to play outside," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "As our newest neighbourhood continues to build out, adding amenities like this splash pad ensures that young residents have access to quality recreation close to home."
Before you visit, pack sunscreen, drinking water, and towels. The City reminds you that children must be closely supervised at all times. Please remember to keep pets on a two-metre leash, no glass containers are allowed in the park, and you must follow all posted park rules.
