Transit shelter advertising program expands to Ambrel Lake Park stops

Wrenford Transit is adding advertising panels to shelters at Ambrel Lake Park stops. The rollout begins this week along Route 10 and Route 12, which serve the southeastern neighbourhoods.

The Transit shelter advertising programme brings local business promotions and public safety messages to riders waiting for the bus. You will see new panels on the benches at stops near Ambrel Lake Park and along Ambrel Lake Road. The panels are installed and maintained by the City in partnership with local advertisers.

"Adding these panels to the Ambrel Lake Park stops is a great way to help local businesses reach more customers while keeping our riders informed," said Daniel Osei, Transit Manager. "It also brings a fresh look to the stops in the southeast."

Local businesses can reserve space on the panels through the Business page. A portion of the advertising revenue goes directly back to Wrenford Transit to help fund route improvements and accessibility upgrades. Residents can also submit public service announcements, such as upcoming transit schedule changes or seasonal safety reminders, for review by the City newsroom.

You might notice crews installing the panels over the next two weeks. The shelters will remain open and fully accessible throughout the installation. If you have feedback about the new panels or want to learn more about the advertising programme, you can visit the Transit section or email the Transit team at [email protected].
