The City of Wrenford is asking residents to review and validate the draft 2027 budget. The draft document opens for public review at City Hall and online starting Monday, October 12. You have until Friday, October 30, to share your feedback.
Earlier this year, more than 2,100 residents took part in the Community Satisfaction Survey. City staff presented the results to Council in May, and those findings have guided the development of the 2027 budget. The draft plan focuses on keeping property tax rates stable, maintaining existing transit routes, and funding neighbourhood park upgrades in areas like Wildrye and the Benchlands.
Visit the Budget page to read the full draft document and view the neighbourhood breakdowns. You can also fill out the online feedback form or visit the Service Wrenford counter at 100 Mercer Street to pick up a printed copy. All comments will be compiled and shared with Council before the final budget is passed in December.
"This is our chance to make sure the money matches the community's voice," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "We built the draft budget around the priorities you told us mattered most, and we want to hear if we got it right."
Once Council adopts the final budget, staff will move forward with the projects you helped shape. To learn more about how resident feedback guides local improvements, visit the Neighbourhoods page.
