The City of Wrenford advises residents that municipal services and transit will operate on a holiday schedule on Tuesday, November 11, 2026, in honour of Remembrance Day.

City Hall and municipal offices will be closed for the day. The Service Wrenford counter at 100 Mercer Street will not accept walk-in requests. You can still reach us by phone at 519-555-0100 during regular business hours on Monday, November 10.

Wrenford Transit will not run on Tuesday, November 11. All fixed routes, Wrenford Access, and the Downtown Transit Terminal will be closed. Please plan your travel ahead of time or use alternative transportation. For more information on our routes and schedules, visit Transit.

Waste and recycling collection will continue as usual. Garbage, Blue Box recycling, and Green Bin organics will be picked up on their regular days. The East Wrenford Waste Management Facility and all drop-off depots will be closed. For details on collection days and drop-off rules, see Garbage & Recycling.

Recreational facilities will follow their standard holiday hours. Most pools, arenas, and community centres will be open. Check Facilities for specific hours at Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre, Northgate Aquatic Centre, and other locations.

Parking will be free all day in metered zones and at the Downtown Transit Terminal parking area. There will be no enforcement of parking by-laws on November 11.

The City will host the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph in Centennial Gardens on Tuesday, November 11. The service begins at 10:30 a.m. and is open to the public. We encourage all residents to attend and take a moment to remember.

"We want to make sure our residents know how the day will affect their daily routines," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Please take advantage of the free parking and plan your errands ahead of time so you can join us for the service."
