Provincial Offences Court window replacement project 2026

Starting Monday, August 3, 2026, construction crews will replace the exterior windows at the Provincial Offences Court, located at 120 Church Street, Wrenford, ON N4Q 1A4. The project is expected to take about six weeks to complete.

The upgrade will improve energy efficiency and reduce long-term maintenance costs. Work will start early each morning at 7:00 a.m. and wrap up by 4:30 p.m. Crews will work from scaffolding on the Church Street side, so pedestrians will use the sidewalk on the Water Street side. The main entrance at 120 Church Street will stay open, but you may need to walk past the construction area to reach the lobby.

To keep everyone safe, crews will use temporary fencing and set up a covered walkway. There may be short delays on Church Street while trucks and equipment move in and out. The City's Roads & Winter Maintenance team will manage traffic control and lane shifts. You can find more details on their Roads & Winter Maintenance page.

That means you can still pay parking tickets and Highway Traffic Act fines without any interruption. Staff will be in place to guide you through the work zone safely. If you have a court date, the front desk will remain fully staffed. You can reach the court desk at 519-555-0113.

"We are making this upgrade now so we can improve the building's performance and keep operating costs steady for years to come," said Robert Eng, City Manager. "We know construction can be noisy and busy, and we appreciate your patience while we finish the job."
