The City of Wrenford’s Northgate Aquatic Centre will close today, Monday, April 27, 2026, for seasonal maintenance and equipment checks. The facility will reopen to the public on Monday, May 4, 2026.
This annual closure allows our operations team to perform essential upkeep on the 50-metre pool, dive tank, and waterslide. Following the successful completion of the rooftop renewal project earlier this year, the centre is using this time to ensure all water treatment systems, mechanical rooms, and public areas are ready for the busy season ahead.
“We are committed to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for everyone who visits our aquatic facilities,” said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. “This maintenance window ensures that the Northgate Aquatic Centre is fully operational and ready to serve the community when we reopen in May.”
When the centre reopens, you will be able to enjoy regular drop-in hours. The 50-metre lap pool, leisure pool, and waterslide will be open during standard operating hours. You can find full details on operating hours, drop-in schedules, and public swimming fees on the Northgate Aquatic Centre page.
If you plan to take part in swim lessons, aquatics programs, or public skating, you can find the latest information on the Programs page. When you need to book a facility for an event or meeting, you can use the Book a recreation facility portal.
We appreciate your patience while we complete these necessary upgrades. If you have any questions about the closure or reopening dates, please reach out to us at Contact or call 519-555-0100.
