Larch Heights Golf Course reopens September 15 after fall maintenance

You can hit the fairways again on September 15, when the Larch Heights Golf Course reopens to the public after a brief closure for fall maintenance. The seasonal turnaround ensures the 18-hole municipal course remains in top condition for the final stretch of the playing year.

Grounds crews worked through early September to aerate the greens and tees, trim the rough, and repair irrigation lines ahead of the cooler weather. Maintenance staff also cleaned the clubhouse, serviced the pro shop equipment, and updated the online tee-time booking system to reflect the shortened fall schedule.

"We want to make sure every round is played on a smooth, safe surface while the days are still warm enough to enjoy the outdoors," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Our grounds team has done an excellent job preparing the course for these last few weeks of summer play, and we appreciate the community's patience while we worked."

Regular hours resume immediately. You can book tee times online through the city's recreation portal or by calling the course directly at 519-555-0126. Golfers should bring their own clubs and check the course map for any temporary path closures near the clubhouse or the practice green. Cart rentals remain available for those who prefer not to walk the full course.

The course will operate on a shortened schedule through October, closing for the season on October 31. The adjacent trails will remain open for walking and snowshoeing once the fairways freeze. You will find full details on operating hours, seasonal closures, and winter trail access on our Larch Heights Golf Course page.
