Kingfisher Pool opens for summer season with new swim lessons

Today, June 1, 2026, the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court opens for the summer season, and families can sign up for new swim lessons. The seasonal pool, which also features a splash pad, will run its daily hours from late June through Labour Day, giving residents a place to cool off and stay active in the Kingfisher neighbourhood.

Swim lessons are available for all ages and ability levels. The City has expanded the program this year with beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes held at Kingfisher and the Tamsin Valley Leisure Centre. Children can work through the Swim for Life® program, while teens and adults can join adult swimming lessons or private sessions. Families can book spots online through the Wrenford Activity Guide or by calling the pool front desk at 519-555-0125.

"The City is committed to making water safety and recreation accessible to every resident, regardless of their background or housing situation," says Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Whether you are renting in Eastfield or owning a home in the Benchlands, our pools and programs are here to bring our community together."

The splash pad at Kingfisher Park is operating daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during the summer months. Lifeguards are on duty during all open hours, and change rooms are available inside the recreation centre next door. Please remember to shower before entering the pool and follow all posted safety rules.
