The City of Wrenford is pleased to announce that the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court will open for the 2026 season on Saturday, June 20. The adjacent splash pad will open a week earlier on Saturday, June 13. All dates are weather-dependent, and the City will share updates on Wrenford 311 and the News page if changes occur. Located in the Kingfisher neighbourhood, the pool is a popular community hub for local families. You can find more information about Kingfisher and other local areas on the Neighbourhoods page.
The pool will remain open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. through Labour Day weekend. Visitors can enjoy drop-in swim sessions, family swim times, and scheduled lessons for all ages. The splash pad will operate from noon to 6:00 p.m. daily. Admission is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for youth and seniors, and free for children under three. Residents can purchase a season pass for $40.00, which covers unlimited drop-in access.
"The Kingfisher Outdoor Pool is a community favourite for a reason," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "It offers a safe, affordable place for families to stay cool and build confidence in the water. We encourage residents to check the Leisure Guide for the full drop-in and lesson schedule before heading out."
To ensure a smooth season, the City reminds visitors to follow all swim safety rules and to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled swim time to check in. The splash pad is designed for younger children, and caregivers must supervise them at all times. Free parking is available in the lot off Kingfisher Court.
