Kingfisher Outdoor Pool is open for the 2026 season starting today at 15 Kingfisher Court. City staff have finished final inspections, and the seasonal outdoor pool and splash pad are ready for residents to enjoy as summer temperatures arrive.
The facility operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. through Labour Day. Please note that Canada Day falls on a holiday schedule today, so the pool will close at 1:00 p.m. for the afternoon. All aquatic programs, including swimming lessons and leisure swims, are running as scheduled.
"We are excited to welcome everyone back to the water," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "Kingfisher offers a safe, fun environment for all ages, from our toddler splash pad to our lap lanes for fitness swimmers."
The splash pad features multiple spray features and is free to access during posted hours. Visitors can bring their own food to enjoy in the shaded seating areas, or purchase snacks and drinks from the poolside stand. Family Swim sessions are held every Saturday at 10:00 a.m., providing a relaxed environment for young children and their caregivers.
Residents can book swimming lessons, register for drop-in aquafit, or simply walk in for a leisure swim. General admission applies, and fee assistance is available for eligible households through the Leisure Access Programme. Visit the facility page for current drop-in times, lifeguard policies, and booking links.
