This Saturday, May 30, the Kingfisher Outdoor Pool at 15 Kingfisher Court officially opens for the season. The City of Wrenford's Recreation & Culture department is ready to welcome families, swimmers, and splash pad visitors for a full summer of water fun.
The facility features a seasonal outdoor pool and a splash pad. This year, the City has upgraded the surrounding parking lot and added new shade structures to keep visitors cool during peak afternoon hours. Recent road resurfacing on Kingfisher Court has also made access easier for pedestrians and cyclists. Crews from Roads & Winter Maintenance completed the final patching and striping last week to ensure safe travel to the site.
"We know how much our residents look forward to the splash pad and pool opening," said Fiona Gallagher, General Manager of Community Services. "It is a great place to relax, stay active, and enjoy the early summer weather. We have staff on deck all season to ensure safety and a welcoming environment for everyone."
Visitors should check the daily schedule online before heading out. The pool and splash pad will operate daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. through the season. Lifeguards will be present for all public sessions. Families planning to visit are encouraged to bring towels, sunscreen, and a water bottle. The City asks that guests follow all posted rules, including showering before entering the pool and supervising children at all times.
